A Gorgeous Naming Day
A couple of weeks ago on a beautiful sunny sunday, we celebrated my baby boy's naming, at home with a celebrant, family and friends. I was in my element designing and creating every little detail for the special day and am very excited to finally share it with you.
I had decided on a baby elephant theme for the naming day before Max was born as this was the theme for his nursery. By adding teeny tiny polkadots and my cute Style Me Gorgeous birdies it was perfect 'cute' theme for my gorgeous baby boy. The soft colour palette was inspired by some gorgeous Martha Stewart paper lanterns that I found at Spotlight.
I designed the cake toppers, cookie toppers, labels, tags, signs and banners to match the invites. In my next blog post I will share the details of the decorations.

ReplyDeleteOh this is soooo beautiful! Out of curiosity, how do you get those rounded corners and milk bottle tag shaped cards? Did the printers cut them out with a low quantity of prints?
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica, I cut the corners with a craft punch. And the lolly jar tags I bought from Spotlight (plain white ones in a pack of 6 I think it was) then put my own sticker on them :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I love your ideas and creativity!!! I am looking to put some Martha Stewart paper lanterns in the nursery for my soon-to-born little girl. You said you got them at Spotlight? I couldn't find anything online except a Australian based website that sells craft items etc. but could not find the lanterns on there. Can you let me know where to look? I just love the paper designs on the lanterns you used. I could only find solid colors, no patterns.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
The paper lanterns are "Marta Stewart Seaside lanters" and come in pack of six. You can get at spotlight. I saw them the other day and they are on special for $30.00, you should ring spotlight and they can tell you which stores has them... or this online shop has them http://www.craftrush.com.au/papercraft-cid-5/soft-embellishments-cid-63/lanterns-cid-838?product_id=8290. Oh and those little spotted lanterns are "Robert Gordon Lanterns"
ReplyDeleteMy sister is having a baby boy and her crib set has a mod elephant, so I found some mod elephant baby shower stuff, but I really love some of your ideas and decorations. Where can I find some of these items to make my party look as great as yours does?
