The Beauty Full Collection (Invitations for Ava)

Outdoor Photos by Fran of Luminessence Photography. Invitation Photography By Sheye Rosemeyer

Ava's Tea Party is held in August 201o, to remember a little princess Ava Rosemeyer (2003 - 2007). The Tea Party is held to honour Ava, and to remind you to stop.. and spend precious time with your loved ones, celebrate the small things 'be glad, give thanks, and cherish'.

www.avasteaparty.com

The ever generous and thoughtful ladies at Details, details! came up with a wonderful idea for Ava's Tea party..and asked me to be a part of it along with 8 other Australian Designers (I was so thrilled to be included with these talented ladies!). We each designed a printable invitation in our own signature styles, that you can purchase here for a limited time only (until 31st August), but of course can use the invitation for any tea party, any time of the year.

100% of the proceeds goes to Paradise Kids, a community funded organization supporting families experiencing illness and loss.

You can also purchase one of these gorgeous tea party kits packed in a vintage suitcase, including tissue pom poms, stripy straws, doily garland, ribbon, pretty paper cups and much more!

Thank you to Details, details! for asking me to take part in this special project, and thank you to Sheye Rosemeyer ...it was an honour and a pleasure to be involved in something so special.

An Enchanted Woodland Invitation

I recently had the absolute pleasure of collaborating on an invitation design with the fabulous, talented, Sharnel of Sharnel Dollar Designs.

Sharnel created sweet little terrariums to accompany the invites for each little party guest invited to her daughter Olivia's 6th Birthday (don't you just wish you were invited!)

This Invitation along with a full set of matching DIY Party Printables designed by me, will be available for purchase on my website in the coming weeks.

I cannot wait to see the pictures of Olivia's special day...I know it will be nothing short of stunning.

Parrrty

This is the invitation I designed for my godson's 4th birthday party. I love black, but Ive got a thing about kids pirate parties and black...I just prefer more 'friendly' pirate colours :-)

I think I will have to throw a pirate themed party for my son in the next few years...well I can't not really...with a name like Jack (Captain Jack!). So maybe next year for the pirate party - I already have his 4th birthday this year planned...hehe...Im choosing the themes while I can (is that cheeky of me lol ?!) as Im sure I will be told what theme for the big '5' next year.

So if I were planning a Pirate Party I would be inspired by this one (photo above) from Scissors. Paper. Cake.

Vintage Circus

Circus / Carnival themed parties have always been very popular, I did a circus train theme for my son's 2nd birthday a couple of years ago (top pic). There have been plenty of gorgeous circus / carnival theme parties popping up lately..and Im loving how the theme keeps on being re-invented with everyone doing it in different styles or different colours.

I fell in love with the circus party ideas of Sweet Paul via Hip Hooray (thanks for introducing me girls!). The seal cookies are too cute..I love that they double as decorations. I also adore the spotty bunting cake, its simple yet so effective, and one that anyone could have a crack at..it doesnt have to be perfect...thumbs up for the textured icing look!

There is certainly no shortage of circus themed decorations, lollies, partyware etc out there...its just a matter of narrowing it all down! I came across this cute pop up clown card from Poketo today, this would be a fun invitation idea.

So naturally now I am very keen to try my hand at the circus party again for one of my boys birthdays..but this time vintage, I will have to come up with a way to give it a unique twist (fun, fun, fun).

I cant get enough of vintage right now, Im going to do a vintage 'boys toys' theme for Max's 1st birthday, I will show you some of my inspiration for that later ;-)

A Gorgeous Naming Day

A couple of weeks ago on a beautiful sunny sunday, we celebrated my baby boy's naming, at home with a celebrant, family and friends. I was in my element designing and creating every little detail for the special day and am very excited to finally share it with you.

I had decided on a baby elephant theme for the naming day before Max was born as this was the theme for his nursery. By adding teeny tiny polkadots and my cute Style Me Gorgeous birdies it was perfect 'cute' theme for my gorgeous baby boy. The soft colour palette was inspired by some gorgeous Martha Stewart paper lanterns that I found at Spotlight.

I designed the cake toppers, cookie toppers, labels, tags, signs and banners to match the invites. In my next blog post I will share the details of the decorations.

A Diggers & Dump Trucks Birthday Party !

Yesterday we celebrated my eldest baby's 3rd Birthday. Wow, I can't believe Jack is 3!

We had a diggers and dump trucks themed party, you may have seen the invite I designed quite a while ago (I love planning parties so like to get organised nice and early). I think the highlight of the day for Jack was the cake... white choc mud with chocolate frosting and violet crumble on top, Jack is just like his mummy and loves his cake ! I kinda cheated and got a plastic dump truck to sit on the cake because there was no way I would have had time to make one with a 6 week old baby (I don't think I could have done it anyway...too hard), anyway I was really happy with the way the cake turned out..what do you think?

The little tins for the orange M&Ms and the orange buckets are from the fantastic online shop www.detailsdetails.com.au I made stickers for the tins, cupcake toppers and a birthday banner to match the birthday invites (I didnt get a good pic of the banner....I seriously need to invest in an SLR camera).

What party can I plan next?.....baby Max's naming day! YAY!.. it will be a baby elephant theme (I already made a few purchases for it before he was born, couldn't help myself hehe).

A Little Sweetie turns One

I just wanted to share this delicious little invite that I designed for my beautiful God-Daughter Ivy's First Birthday. Ivy is going to look adorable in her little fairy wings; she is a petite little babe with curly blonde hair and big bright blue eyes just like the fairy on the invite :-)
